« Towards distant realms »
( piano concert-readings )
Honoré Béjin, piano,
Naty Garcia Guadilla, narrator
Naty Garcia Guadilla and Honoré Béjin present a musical, poetic, and philosophical journey around the theme of travel—a journey that is not only geographical but also existential and memorial.
Through words and notes, this concert-reading weaves a dialogue between poets and composers, each celebrating the notion of travel in their own unique way.
From Baudelaire to Machado, Prévert to Gerbasi, voices rise to express wonder, memory, exile, loss, and hope. In counterpoint, Chopin, Debussy, Albéniz, Villa-Lobos, and others extend these sentiments through evocative soundscapes that alternate between intimacy and solemnity.
