The non-profit organization « Salon Bugrane » will soon be two years old, and already 14 concerts have been organized!

For this anniversary, the city of Brussels wished to accompany the event by lending its magnificent Gothic Hall.

In tribute to Claude Debussy (died in 1918), this project brings together a painter, a poet and pianists of different generations to make us appreciate the various colors of his piano work.

Everything started from François Migeot’s collection « Voices through the leaves, Listening to Claude Debussy », illustrated by a series of water colours by Bern Wery.

This book was published in March 2018, on the occasion of the centenary of the death of Claude Debussy.

The abundant diversity of Debussy’s piano work has been voluntarily entrusted to 6 performers from different generations:

Frédéric Anspach, Pierre Thomas, Andrée-Claude Brayer, founding members of the Association, Louise and Lena Kollmeier, Thomas Waelbroeck.

The reciters, François Migeot, and Judith Alvarado-Migeot, will ensure the connection between the chosen works and the enlarged projections of Bern Wery‘s water colours in the background.

With all our gratitude to the city of Brussels for its exceptional logistical support to our project.

Note that:
Unlike the Salon tradition, the concert will take place
Saturday at 4 pm at the Gothic Hall of Brussels City Hall
instead of
Sunday 16 hours at the Bugrane Salon !
